Pro bike check with Anne-Caroline Chausson.
Anne-Caroline Chausson will always be best known as the world’s all-time greatest female downhill mountain bike racer. In a career that ran from 1993 to 2005, the Frenchwoman won a dozen elite DH world titles, including 9 at the senior level. But the Frenchwoman’s DH days have been in the rearview mirror for almost a decade. After that she made a successful run at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, winning gold. Since then the 35-year-old has turned her focus the enduro racing world, which she says truly speaks to the kind of riding she loves most.
“It’s more free and easy than downhill,” says Chausson, 35, who spent the past weekend acting as trail guide and spokeswoman for Mavic at its Notch mountain bike apparel line in Peillon, France. “It’s just riding the bike the way I would if I was out having fun.”
Transporting Chausson to that happy place is a Ibis Mojo HD. Mtbr got an up close and personal look at the all-mountain machine here in France. Now you can, too.
