CycleScheme

Tax free bike purchasing and Saving on average 32% from your next Bike could not be easier with CycleScheme. Saving both on the cost of your bike plus accessories and then travel costs to and from work.

The beauty of the Governments cycle to work scheme is obviously not just its health, saving money and environmental benefits but the scheme only requires you to use the bike for 50% of your time for getting to work so the other 50% can be used for your own pleasure and leisure time.

Here at MTB-Shropshire and Blazing Bikes our aim is to give you the best products at the right price and our range of mountain bikes and road bikes up to a £1000 are some of the best on the market. There is a example gallery of some of our bikes at the bottom of this page, get onto the website to see and browse more. Remember any New bike under £1000 full RRP is eligible, anything on offer or reduced is not.

So How do I get a bike?

1 –  Is Your employer signed up?

To get a bike through Cyclescheme, your employer needs to be signed up to the scheme. If your employer is not signed up, or you are not sure, speak to your manager or HR department, and direct them to the CycleScheme site. You can also invite your employer to join via the site.

2 –  Pay us a visit or Visit Our Website

Once you are ready to get looking at a bike then come and see us or give us a call to arrange an appointment or an alternative. We also can bring a range of bikes to your place of work if you have a few people looking to use the scheme as often businesses run them in a time window. We can then talk you through getting you fixed up and other options.

3  – Request Your secure Online Certificate

At your work, Go to your employer’s special Cyclescheme web address to request your certificate. If you are not sure what this is, ask your manager or Cyclescheme administrator.

CycleScheme will ask your employer to confirm your eligibility and approve your request, and then send them an invoice for the bike package. A hire agreement will also be sent to you to sign. As soon as the bike is paid for, CycleScheme will send you your printed certificate, which you can then bring or post to Blazing Bikes to exchange for a bike and equipment.

Remember that you can track your request at any time by clicking on My Cyclescheme.

4 –  Bring Your Certificate To Us

We will then exchange it for your chosen bike and equipment. You might want to call us or pop in first to check that items are currently in stock. You will also need to bring or scan and send photographic ID, such as your passport or driving license. This helps CycleScheme to ensure the equipment has reached you safely.

5 –  How does Your Payment Work?

Your hire payments are deducted from your gross monthly salary. At the end of the hire period employees may be given the opportunity to buy the bike for the market value, however this cannot be an automatic entitlement. Many employers opt for Cyclescheme to take ownership of the bikes at the end of the hire term, in which case any offer sale to the employee will come directly from CycleScheme.
